Thousands watched the stage presentation of the Video Camera app launch at Macworld 2012. Crowds of all ages downloaded the app and instantly began using it, while thousands more purchased it around the world as word quickly spread. Crowds stood in amazement over this all-in-one revolutionary mobile app.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with iOS 4.2 or later, Video Camera allows users to shoot, preview, and edit from the live camera view. The intuitive interface design and unique features make the process simple enough for a beginner, yet powerful enough for a professional!

The patent-pending Live Non-Linear Editing (LiNE™) interface is what makes Video Camera one-of-a-kind. Users can preview and trim clips, and rearrange sequences all while never missing a beat of the action. Adding a Hollywood-style studio intro, titles and rolling credits, as well as background music, are quick and easy—and sharing the finished product via social networks and email is as simple as tapping the screen.

Triple tapping the screen gives more experienced users the ability to control exposure, focus and white balance. Video Camera also features full auto or manual zoom control, just one of many features not available on the native camera.

Perhaps the most impressive feature of Video Camera that left jaws dropping are the unbelievable built-in networking capabilities offering a new concept in movie-making as a social experience. The Remote Camera function allows live recording of up to eight iOS devices over a common WiFi network, each contributing shots from different angles or locations simultaneously. Yes, “simultaneously!” Video Camera allows groups of people to share the video recording experience together in real-time.

Video Camera syncs recorded clips from remote “Player” devices to the “Stage” device, for viewing, switching camera angles, recording and editing with all the features of a video studio on-the-fly.

When done, instantly upload movies to Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, CNN, or email it—all from within the Video Camera app. This “Best of Show” recipient has truly reinvented the video camera.

As if that wasn’t enough to impress, i4software will soon provide its customers the ability to tap into 3G networks via a secure server to deliver simultaneous shooting worldwide. Yes, “worldwide!”

Now available on the App Store for only $7.99. Visit i4videocamera.com to see what the excitement is all about.

The ready-made filter apps found in app stores like Instagram, Hipstamatic and CameraBag provide thousands of ways to tweak the colors, rearrange the background or add new textures.

More ambitious photographers are starting to make and share filters they created themselves using tools meant to simplify the often arcane mechanisms for modifying the pixels in an image. Some work as smartphone apps; others require the greater power and more elaborate user interfaces that are available only on desktops.

Mr. Morgan, for instance, has done much of his recent work with a software tool called Filter Forge, which works with Adobe Photoshop, though it can be used alone. (Various versions of the software cost $149, $249 and $399 at FilterForge.com.) An artist arranges a set of basic instructions in a sequence. Some enhance the colors to give them a garish luster, while others wash out the tinting until they’re just black and white with a hint of color. There are hundreds of options and the filter creator can combine them again and again. Once a filter is created, others can download it at no cost….

NEW YORK, Feb. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ – Polaroid and Impossible announce the opening of INSTANT REVOLUTION, the first in an upcoming series of artistic collaborations throughout 2012 celebrating the launch of the Polaroid Classic line, a new product line that celebrates Polaroid’s rich 75-year legacy. Featuring photos captured with the last original Polaroid Spectra film production run from 2008, one of the first products introduced as part of the Polaroid Classic line, five of the world’s most dynamic and contemporary artists contributed to INSTANT REVOLUTION: Gary Baseman, James Franco, Maripol, Mary Ellen Mark and Jennifer Juniper Stratford.

For more than 60 years, the instant image has been a revolutionary aspect of how artists create, consider and define analog photography. The five artists featured in INSTANT REVOLUTION all take different approaches to illustrating their relationship with analog photography:

Gary Baseman “I wanted to use the camera the way I originally used such a device in the 1970s and 80s…to capture an immediate memory. My art is about discovering one’s ‘True Self,’ and Polaroid cameras have been an important tool in assisting in this truth-finding and free expression.”

James Franco “Polaroid images are true singular moments captured in time, they are so dependent on the conditions of the moment…and the look is unbeatable.”

Maripol “When I got my Polaroid camera years ago, my curiosity turned into voyeurism, self-exhibitionism. Behind the camera box, hearing the click, seizing the moment, I got hooked on it.”

Mary Ellen Mark “I really enjoyed going out on the street again. Everyone seemed to love being photographed with this strange object that spat out a print right away and didn’t have a digital image on the back.”

Jennifer Juniper Stratford “I photographed the Hollywood that matters to me. From casting to continuity, everyone had a bit of a giggle and love for Polaroid photography, which made this project so significant to the history of Hollywood and its relationship with Polaroid.”

INSTANT REVOLUTION will be shown at The Impossible Project Space NYC from February 9 to March 23 2012 and on www.the-impossible-project.com.

The Opening Reception will take place on February 9 from 6pm to 9pm in presence of Gary Baseman, Maripol, Mary Ellen Mark and Jennifer Juniper Stratford.

About The Polaroid Brand
Across several generations, people regard Polaroid as one of the most trusted, well-respected and recognizable brands when it comes to technology. The history of Polaroid began 75 years ago, with its roots stemming back to Polaroid instant film, cameras and camera accessories – thus was the introduction of the famous Polaroid Classic Border Logo which is still recognized today as a true landmark of photography.

In recent years, Polaroid has expanded its range of products in consumer electronics and photography, such as 3D TVs, tablets, instant cameras and mobile printers, e-book readers, digital high-definition camcorders, waterproof digital cameras and more. People can expect to see new Polaroid products that will deliver the fun, instant gratification and value that the brand has long stood. For more information, visit www.polaroid.com.

Polaroid, Polaroid & Pixel, Polaroid Classic, Polaroid Classic Border Logo and Polaroid Spectra are trademarks of PLR IP Holdings, LLC, used under license.

About Impossible
Impossible has been developing and manufacturing brand new instant film for Vintage Polaroid cameras at the former Polaroid production plant in Enschede, The Netherlands, since 2008. In order to carry instant film production into the 21st century, Impossible had to find new solutions for replacing and upgrading problematic or unavailable components of the original Polaroid film formula.

Impossible films push analog instant photography beyond all traditional limits and offer a broad range of new possibilities, characteristics and results. Impossible prevents millions of perfectly functioning Polaroid cameras from becoming obsolete, changes the world of photography and keeps variety, tangibility and analog creativity and possibilities alive. www.the-impossible-project.com

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 02, 2012

Nevercenter today released CameraBag 2 for Mac and PC, a desktop photo app with a whole new approach to photos. Redesigned from the ground up, CameraBag 2′s new Analog Engine pairs a full suite of photographic tools with the high quality filters and vintage simulations the series is already known for. Its key innovation is a stunningly straightforward approach to layering, rearranging, and endlessly tweaking all of these effects in realtime. The 100+ fully-adjustable filters and 25+ professional controls CameraBag 2 ships with are only the beginning, forming the palette from which users create their own styles. (Watch CameraBag in action: http://www.nevercenter.com/cb2trailer)

“The most common feedback we got from previous versions was that the user wanted greater control, without sacrificing CameraBag’s straightforward, accessible nature,” said Tom Plewe, Nevercenter’s president. “We came up with a simple tile-based system which presents all the additional control from the new Analog Engine in a quick, intuitive way. Then we added full-screen Quicklooks and instant previews to emphasize a visual decision-making process. Instead of starting from scratch with a photo, you can compare a lot of great options, choose the very best one, and then start tweaking. And you never have to do the same work twice; once you create a new look or workflow, you just add it to the menu for next time.”

Key Features

Choose from 100+ built-in styles and filters, or create and share your own.

Full suite of 25+ manual photographic tools including advanced curve editors.

Stunning new interface.

State-of-the-art image processing via the all-new Analog Engine.

Add any look you create to the toolset as a fully-adjustable filter.

32-bits-per-component color depth.

Non-destructive editing (active history).

Easy layering of styles and adjustments.

Quicklooks and hover previews for visual decision-making.

The Remix slider, which smoothly transitions between endless variations.

Large, precise controls.

Laptop-friendly design.

Batch saving.

RAW format and metadata support.

Freedom to Play
With CameraBag 2, you don’t have to know what look you want to get started. CameraBag 2 lets you see all the possibilities at once: old-school instant film or modern high-contrast portrait, subtle color adjustment or complete artistic overhaul. Choose from side-by-side comparisons with the fullscreen Quicklooks, or get large, instant previews on mouseover; the emphasis is on creative exploration. Once you’ve chosen a filter, its components are all in the tray to tweak and adjust non-destructively with large, interactive sliders. The Remix slider in particular brings back the “happy accidents” of analog film, smoothly transitioning between infinite natural variations for each style.

Advanced Control
The new CameraBag features a full suite of photographic tools, from simple exposure and cropping to advanced vignetting, color correction, and curves. The built-in styles also now have full control over their strength and variation. Since every adjustment appears as a tile in the tray, it’s easy to see everything affecting the image at once, and rearrange tiles or edit amounts without compromising image quality. Adjustments and styles can be freely layered to create new looks, which can be saved right into the interface as new filters. Whenever a filter is loaded, the user once again has full control over all of its tiles.

The Analog Engine
At CameraBag 2’s core is the brand new Analog Engine: high-fidelity, 32 bits-per-channel, non-destructive, multi-threaded image processing. In other words, it’s fast and smooth. CameraBag 2 matches the power of high-priced software, yet it’s light on its feet and starts up instantly. Its old-school looks are particularly high tech: recreating the natural blemishes and random variations of the analog world is one of the hardest digital challenges, and that’s where we’ve devoted much of our research. Even the most heavily-modified photos retain smooth, film-like colors (especially with the extra color information in RAW files).

Price and Availability
CameraBag 2 is available now for Mac and PC. A single cross-platform license is available at http://www.nevercenter.com for $29 (launch sale price: $24), and a Mac-only version is available via the Mac App Store for $24 (launch sale price: $19). A free, fully-functional 30-day demo is included in the download from http://www.nevercenter.com, where more info, tutorials, and videos can also be found.

The History of CameraBag
CameraBag was initially released as an iPhone app, climbing as high as #2 across all paid apps. The first version for Mac and PC – CameraBag Desktop – soon followed, proving that the concept scaled beautifully to high res photos. CameraBag 2 for Mac and PC is a gigantic step forward from both CameraBag iPhone and CameraBag Desktop on every front. It has been rebuilt from the ground up specifically for desktop computers, now including a full suite of photo tools, a whole new interface for finding and creating filters, nearly 10 times as many built-in looks, and a rewritten engine under the hood, all while maintaining the intuitiveness and approachable feel of the original app.

Craiova, Romania (PRWEB) February 01, 2012

Bits&Coffee has released BatchPhoto v. 3.1, a powerful all-in-one photo manipulation program for Windows that lets photographers, web designers, business people, and families enhance photos quickly and efficiently. Simply select a group of photographs, and with a single operation annotate, touch-up, apply special effects, convert to different image types, resize, and rename every image in the group.

With BatchPhoto Enterprise the users can automate their photo editing workflow with a consistent process by creating hot folders with associated custom scripts that will only be applied to the newly added images. The Monitor is the new component of BatchPhoto Enterprise, responsible for monitoring an unlimited number of folders on the user’s computer, network or sites (through FTP), and for each monitored folder apply a custom set of edits whenever images are added or modified.

For example, with BatchPhoto Enterprise the user can transfer a few hundred RAW images from a DSLR digital camera to a hot folder and in a few minutes have all the images automatically resized, rotated, watermarked with a logo, renamed, converted to TIFF and uploaded to a FTP account. All of this without the user’s intervention.

New features in version 3.1 include the Enterprise edition with the new Monitor component, detailed logs with the processed images, new & improved predefined profiles, support for undo & redo in the user interface, a new Polaroid graphical filter, translation to Japanese, and some additional improvements and fixes.

Digital photographers who need to be able to enhance a collection of images with a single operation, real estate or construction professionals who need to process a steady flow of images efficiently, or insurance companies or law firms employees who need to annotate and watermark images for clients, can find BatchPhoto as the right tool for the job. There’s even a Home version of BatchPhoto for the amateur photographer who wants to touch up and enhance images more efficiently.

BatchPhoto v. 3.1 runs under Windows 7/Vista/XP. It comes in three editions: Home, Pro, and Enterprise priced at $34.95(US), $59.95(US), respectively $149.95(US) and may be purchased securely online from http://www.batchphoto.com/. A free trial version can be downloaded from the same web address.

Since 2005, Bits&Coffee has been developing and marketing image enhancement productivity software for business and home users. In addition to BatchPhoto, the company also offers Image Espresso, a free online image converter and editor that makes it easy to convert, resize, crop, rotate, touch up, and apply effects to images.

The answer is when it’s an object designed by Marc Newson, one of the most acclaimed and influential contemporary designers. PENTAX RICOH IMAGING AMERICAS CORPORATION introduces the Marc Newson designed PENTAX K-01* interchangeable lens camera (ILC). The new PENTAX K-01 is another bold effort from the manufacturer that is known for pushing camera size, color, durability, and now, design, to the limit. Widely known for designing a wide range of objects from furniture and household products to bicycles, cars, aircraft and yachts, Marc Newson has had collected works displayed in The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City and many other major museums. *pronounced ‘kay- zero-one’ The contemporary, timeless K-01 houses a full array of advanced functions and user-friendly features in a camera body with remarkable form and function.
“It’s such an honor to be included in an event like this,” commented Chesler. “A $100,000 donation would have a major impact on so many underprivileged children living in foster facilities across the United States and would give us a chance to dramatically expand our reach into the community!”

Cars.com has added one more opportunity for you to help. If you’re watching the Super Bowl on February 5, use the free mobile app Shazam to tag the Cars.com TV commercial. Each tag puts $1.00 towards whichever charity receives the most votes on Facebook.

“I’m so excited for Betsey and the opportunity to raise awareness for CFKF,” commented board member and photo industry executive, Skip Cohen. “I’m the newest member of the board and I’ve been so impressed with what Betsey and the crew has been able to accomplish so far. It’s incredible what they could do with stronger financial support.”

Camera for Kids Foundation needs your help. Vote now and once a day until the 13th. Share and help spread the word. Then, Shazam on SuperBowl Sunday.
